What is the RN number on your clothes?

Posted by Dave Heifetz on

Okay I have got so many questions about what is the weird number on your clothes label?

A registered identification number (or RN) is a number issued by the Federal Trade Commission, upon request, to a business residing in the United States/ Canada  that is engaged in the manufacture, importation, distribution, or sale of textile, wool, or fur products. This tell us the product is genuine from the well known manufacture.

You can check the manufacturer by simply searching for the RN on the link below for the Canadian and US manufacturer database only.
